Recently, sometime since the “rollout,” perhaps ten days ago or more, FireRTC has become unusable for me on my laptop at home while using DSL, where proper bandwidth is not an issue, since I’m using a twisted pair that brings higher than typical speeds for the home user. Those who I am calling tell me that they cannot even think because there is a three-second delay and then they hear everything they just said. I often hear that line feedback as well from them and from me, but not to the extent they do. This feedback was never a problem before.
Calls also unexpectedly now drop about 70 percent of the time, after only a short duration which is perhaps less than two minutes. Before the drop, I most often cannot hear anything the called party is saying. I don’t know if they can hear me since I have obviously never been able to confirm that. These call drops happened in the past, but not with such reliable frequency.
I like to think scientifically to eradicate outside factors. Is it just me or is everyone experiencing this? If only me, what should I do to troubleshoot the problem? Please help. Thanks in advance.
