Keith, is it possible to post a warning on your side that lets the user know it is a problem only on your end? Otherwise, users are attempting to troubleshoot, fix, create new accounts, change settings, etc., all to no avail, and frustratingly so, when it is on your end.
A proper remedy would be to give the unknowing user notice that it is not on his end but that the problem is on yours when attempting to use the service. The message should be fully automated such that, when service goes down, the message appears. It is not difficult. These “outages” seem to occur at random and at all hours of day and night. I just experienced one about an hour ago. Otherwise, the user is left with a bad experience that will negatively reflect upon future earnings potential of FireRTC that would otherwise be much greater.
