Does firertc have an API(node.js) that we can use?
We don’t currently but which functionality would you be interested in?
im part of a discord group that scambaits and im making a bot that takes commands from discord and dials with firertc. so i would need to be able to dial a number get audio, send audio
if that would be possible?
So you basically want to be able to have a firertc session going live in a discord channel? Who would have control of interacting with firertc? Would screen-sharing firertc into discord not do the same thing? I’m familiar with discord but not that familiar. We’ve had some similar requests. I don’t think an API or Node is going to do what you want. Let me take a look at the discord docs and see what’s available.
I’m have a server-side node.js app and I have that linked into discord as an AI and I need an API to make my app.js be able to interact with firertc and be able to dial numbers without screen sharing
I know I need an API that supports audio input, audio output, dialing a number, and changing caller ID
Unfortunately there isn’t really a very easy way to do that. I’d recommend just using https://sipjs.com/ and connecting to https://www.twilio.com/ or https://www.flowroute.com/ yourself. That’s bascially what we do (with https://freeswitch.org/ and https://www.opensips.org/ in the middle). I’ve run SIP.js in Node before. It works okay until you need to send media but if you really work at it you may be able to get around.
I’ve looked at them and they don’t allow scambaiting
We use them. There are some others out there too. We spread traffic around evenly and also have regular business calls too.
I would like an api so that I can run FireRTC on a Raspberry pi, that way I can lighten the load on my old computer.
