New Usage Policy
Due to some bad actors (isn’t it always a few bad apples that ruins it for everyone?), we will be rolling out a new usage policy. This will not affect the vast majority of users, but you should be aware of them nonetheless. Certain users, based upon account and usage patterns will be limited to US toll-free calling only. This may be temporary or permanent on a per account basis.
This is a work in progress, so let us know how we can make it better.
Why are you making this change?
We are trying to keep the system open, while at the same time protecting it from abuse.
What can I do to call non-toll free numbers?
Most users will still be able to call non-toll free numbers, but if for some reason you are unable, using the service in a manner that is consistent with our Terms of Service over a period of time should unlock toll calls.
What can I do to avoid getting flagged in the first place?
A good start is to use a legitimate email address on your account.
Is this because scammers are threatening FireRTC?
No, this is purely about harassment and other illegal activity.
